This year there will be TWO SEPARATE influenza vaccines, the “regular” flu vaccine, and the “Swine Flu” H1N1 vaccine. Because the H1N1 strain of influenza is very different from previous strains of the flu, it looks like the vaccine will require two shots, about a month apart, to be effective. This means a total of THREE shots this year to be protected from the flu.

The results of the Fall 2009 American Board of Family Medicine recertification exam are up, and Dr. Meyer and Dr. Malin passed, and will continue to be Board Certified in Family Medicine for another seven years, through 12/31/2016.
